FAQ

1. What documents do I have to fill out to apply for the Erasmus Programme?

You need to send the following documents to the IRC system:
•  Application Form
•  Transcript of Records
•  Learning Agreement
Please remember that the learning agreement has to be signed by the representatives of your university!
Learning agreements without signatures will not be accepted.

2. Where can I find information about courses?

3. Can I choose subjects from different faculties?

Yes, it is possible, but you need to receive the approval of each coordinator to attend these courses.

4. How long does it take to receive an acceptance letter?

After we receive your documents, they are sent directly to the proper faculty. It takes 2–3 weeks to receive them back. The next step is issuing the acceptance letter. Documents will be available to download from the IRC system.

5. Do you provide any introduction days after students' arrival?

Yes. The IRO organises introduction days for Erasmus students twice a year, before the start of each semester. The students have the opportunity to visit the campus and find basic information about courses, health insurance, legalisation of stay, etc.


6. Where can I collect my student ID?

In order to apply for a student ID, you need to register in our database and send a digital photo. This information is sent to the department responsible for issuing your student ID. You can collect them from your dean's office. The Dean's Office staff member will instruct you on how to pay for the student ID (the cost of the student ID is around 22PLN).


7. Can I enrol in some additional courses?

Yes, our university offers the following additional courses: the Polish Language course, Polish History and Culture (taught in English), foreign languages (Italian, Spanish, German, etc.), and physical education classes. The list of available courses will be sent by email to each student during Introduction Days.

8. If I want to make some changes to my learning agreement, what do I have to do?

You will receine an instruction at the beginning of the semester, your changes to LA must be prepared via the IRC system.

9. I passed my exams at the end of the semester. What do I have to do next?

If you passed all exams, you can collect the grades and signatures of all teachers on the examination chart (ask somebody from the dean's office to receive one). According to the examination chart, the faculty coordinator will prepare a transcript of records. We will wait for your transcript of records, and then we will issue you a confirmation of your stay. Both of the documents will be uploaded to the IRC system, and both originals will be sent to your home university by post.


10. I want to make an appointment with the doctor or open a bank account, but I know it will be hard for me to speak in Polish. What can I do?

Many Polish people (especially the youth) know English quite well. However, if you need assistance, you can ask your Polish friends or students from ESN to help you.
